This neighborhood is less than a mile away from the Castro Village Shopping Center. This Plaza has a handful of restaurants and shopping outlets. Five Canyons is an open space that links with Don Castro and Garin Regional Parks. The trails conveniently lead to downtown Castro Valley. Don’t be surprised to see ranchers riding horses or cows grazing the open fields. Lastly, there are 4 fitness facilities within walking distance. As a matter of fact, many of the local POI’s are all reasonably close making a car obsolete.


There are two public schools and one private institution in the Eastern Central region of Castro Valley. Marshall Elementary and Creekside Middle School have phenomenal reputations both with a rating of 8 out of 10 for overall performance.


This section of Castro Valley is so close to a local BART Station that people could live here with minimal need for a car. Because it’s nearby downtown, the AC Transit bus system is also an option. The average commute time takes approximately 20-30 minutes.
